Street Customs - Stallone's 55 F-100

Did anybody see the new episode of Street Customs last night. They made a 55 f-100 for Sylvester Stallone. It turned out pretty sick, all matte black, huge wheels. They hacked the crap out of the roof to get it chopped but it still turned out cool. I couldn't find any pictures on the net. Only info I found is from the West Coast Customs website. If anybody can find any pics or more info please post it. THANKS!!

"This week’s episode of STREET CUSTOMS features film legend Sylvester Stallone as he asks Ryan to customize three 1955 Ford F100 trucks for a massive action film that he is directing and starring in. Stallone needs three identical versions of the classic ’55 truck to be used in the film, prompting Ryan to call in reinforcements from Rory's alma mater. "

"West Coast Customs wishes to acknowledge the sponsors of the F100 episode of Street Customs: Asanti, ATK, Auto Loc, B & M Racing, Cerullo Seats, Continental Tires, CV Performance, Edelbrock, Evercoat, Flaming River, Gennie Shifter, Heidts Suspension, Ididit, JRD Glass, Kinetik, LMC Truck, Monster Cable, Ron Davis, Sanderson, Steele Rubber, Streamline Hot Rod and Wyotech. I saw it. I thought it turned out pretty cool. I did notice the renderings were all 56's but they went with 55 trucks. The merc grille teeth gave it a unique look ( don't know if I like it or not ) .

I'm glad they stuck with a Ford engine. But a big block would have been cooler.

I found some pics of it here: http://nachofoto.com/gallery/West_Co...ter_Stallone-1

I only saw the end of it, wish I would have seen all of it, especially the top chop. Looks like they did it Foose style, leaving the windshield full sized and taking the chop out of the cowl below it? Anyone tape the episode?
Sly owns the chopped Merc from his other movie, so the grill teeth were probably an homage to that car.

The chop top was done in a way that I never would have thought the glass would have fit. The roof wasn't cut, but the windshield frame was pie-cut to get the A-pillars to match. I would like to see the windshield frame up close to see if the glass even comes close to fitting. The glass was also cut about 4-5 inches.

Several people here have chopped their top that way and have found the cut glass will not fit. There has been much discussion about this issue. Maybe that's why they went with a 55 rather than a 56, the problem is much more severe with the wrap around windshield if you change the frame shape. WCC does a lot of quick and dirty work, even on very expensive cars, much worse than Boyd used to do IMHO.

I watched the show last night to me they never stayed long enough on any one part of the build to fully tale what was going on. The cut outs on the hood gave a different look.

the top chop looked normal to me. They used a bandsaw to cut the top off at the pillars in the front and pulled the sheet metal off the supports int he back before cutting them for the chop. They were talking about doing a 3" chop but also admitted a raked top would look cool to, so I dont know how much they took out of the front after it was all said and done.

They piecut what was remaining of the pillars to get them to line up. Looked like they had to cut quite a bit out of the sheet metal around the pillars to allow for the "flex".

Turned out pretty cool in my opinion. I never have liked a chopped top on a 53-55 cab, never looks right to me proportionally but what they did looked nice. I loved the grill too, thought that was a refreshing change to the grill design!

I hate how they built 3 so that 2 of them could be destroyed..... What a waste! Why cant they just buy all new metal and make a clone of the orig and wreck that? Why is it in the movies it is always the classic car/truck that gets destroyed? Those trucks were in better shape than mine to begin with! I just think that tht is a waste of old american tin.
