Okay folks, most of the regualrs here are aware of my little shed building project that I have been working on. Here are some pictures of the progress so far and I will continue to update this as things progress.
Background information: 12' x 20' shed/barn/small garage what ever you want to refer to it as
10/12 roof pitch; 6' wide x 6'-6" double door and a 3'-6" x 6'-6" door; 3 3'x2' windows.
At some point I will be running 100 amp electric service to it.
So here are some pictures:
This is about 3 weeks ago after the last 5 piles of fill had been graded off.
Load of shingles in the back of Red after a sale at the Big Blue Box aka Lowe's
Taken this morning... this is how the framing looks after working by myself and hand nailing everything for a couple of weekends.
If you look to the right, you can see the trusses that were also built standing up by a tree.
Plans for this weekend are to finish a couple of headers, double up the top plate and start installing some of the siding to help stiffen the structure up.
Enjoy

I was expecting something that looked like what the 3 stooges built.
Expecially since only 1 Stooge was working..
Sorry I couldn't pass that one up..

Actually Ken it will be my second home for hiding from the wife. The first one is the fire hall and now the second one will be the shed. In the future, we will be finishing the basement and that will be my third one.
Brad, no cable in my area so I would be stuck with sat or an over the air atennea which is what we use in the house.
And I will be sure to keep the pictures coming. I am shooting to have it weathered in next weekend so that will be a big accomplishment. Then I can take my time and build the doors and window frames for the sashes that I already have.

Looking west from the driveway. And yes that is me in back.
Looking out the north wall towards the road.
Looking out the small entry door facing east.
and last but not the least, here is the north wall sided and painted. My wife did the paint work and it does not look too bad. I think that when the rest gets done I will be breaking out one of the sprayers.

I hate to tell you this Neil, but, you know it's too small. (Aren't they all). You forgot the bathroom plumbing or will the woods work ok for you? That roof pitch should give you some nice storage also. Also should have a bunk for FTE visitors. Looks like you are having fun.

Plumbing is not an issue becasue the woods will work fine for me, but I am not to sure what my neighbors would think of that.... LOL.
The high pitched roof is one of the reasons why I really like this plan and it will be used for light weight storage (ie coolers, bushel baskets, etc)
I got half of the trusses set yesterday and the first comment from my wife was that it is very tall (okay, maybe so with it being 13' from the floor to the peak) Ssaturday two of my brother inlaws are coming up and the plan is to finish the roof framing and to get it all shingled
