Missed Sunfest. It isn't advertised here in thee Tulsa are. I had heard that this was the last year for the Biplane Expo, so we had to go. I know what you mean by working outside in the heat. I've got home repairs to do, so at the moment cars take a back seat.

Good luck with the truck, let us know what you find out.

I had the same thing happen to me. It was a wire to the PCM that had been routed directly under the battery tray. Acid ateit and....you know the rest. $100.00 to tow to mechanic. 5 minutes labor because he had seen this before in a fleet of ranger parts runners... $0.02 wire splice and re-route wire...Priceless

When they put up a store where I live, they drove out many other businesses. My mom is into crafts. They drove out half a dozen different craft stores. After the deed was done, they tore down the old store, and built two smaller ones. Their selection went down, the staffing went down, and the prices went up. Once they achieve dominance in a market, they almost always raise prices, with many goods costing more than the local stores would have otherwise been. This subsidizes the low prices in other areas that Walmart is forcing their way into. They also manipulate the political system to get their way. When they went to build the new stores, the city council denied the claim. So Walmart representatives, more or less bribed some the council members and convinced them the new store would be a good idea. The citizens petitioned against it, collecting over 10,000 signatures, more than twice the amount needed. The new Walmart went in anyway.
What does that have to do with the OP's truck problem? By the way; My wife makes 80K a year at Walmart. God Bless Walmart

I'm just playing about the "God Bless Walmart" part. But, Walmart is giving my kids one hell of a private education that I counld'nt do on my salary.

Yeah, sorry I made that crack about staying out of the Walmart, I should have thought of someother wise a%% thing to say. Let's not get into that arguement.

Let's argue about why stock configurations of Rangers are far superior to any store bought modification.

Agreed. Ford engineer knew what they were doing, and the genuine factory parts are for the most part worth any extra money, and you don't always have to go to the dealer for them. There are so many things that could go wrong that can cause it to stall. Without doing more diagnosis, I'm not sure I can help you, and I don't wanna just throw out possibilities.

So orangebanzi how is the trouble shoot going????

Does your CEL light up at KOEO as BearRiver suggested for the computer check????

Can you hear the fuel pump run for about two seconds & shut off when going to KOEO to check the CEL????
If not & seeing as how you were leaving Walmart, if you ran over some bumps, or had a passenger with big feet, it might have triggered the fuel pump inertia cutoff switch, on the firewall, in the passenger side footwell, above the carpet, just about where a big right foot would be, so check/thump to trip/& reset the fuelpump inertia switch.

Also thump to see if you can wake it up, or swap out the underhood fuelpump power relay, located in the power distribution box, for a like one not needed to run the engine, say the A/C power relay & see how it goes.

Same goes for the computers under hood power relay, if you don't have a lit CEL at KOEO. Those danged power relays are known for sudden failure problems, so they belong your suspect list, along with the inertia switch.

More trouble shooting thoughts for consideration.
Let us know how it goes

The best way to test for fuel pump issues aside from dealing with the electrical side of things, is to hook up a fuel pressure gauge and compare the readings against what should be happening. KOEO pressure should be around 40 psi, and should hold. It should never be lower than 35.

While your in the under hood power distribution box, also check the fuses #4, (30amp, for the PCM) & #18, (20amp, for the fuel pump).

If upon replacing a blown fuse & having it blow again, look down stream for a short circuit.
Could be anything from chaffed wire insulation, to a faulty component.

More trouble shooting thoughts.

Just another thought here. My sons '97 F-150 has left him stranded twice in the last couple weeks. Seems that his aftermarket alarm is having troubles. Truck will crank and crank, but won't start. After disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, will reset it enough for the truck to start.

Consider how cheap a waterpump is and how much labor you will be saving by just doing it now. No sense in going back in next month.
