I'd like to place a WANTED ad in the classifieds on this site for a front drive shaft, but I'm not sure what info will be required.

I have a 78 F150 460 4x4. All I know about the t-case is that it's mated and I'm not even sure which front end I have.

I do know that the brake line/hose assembly I got has the metal line and rubber hose all as one piece and it's pre-bent. Since the one I got was out of the book and it fits, I assume that the front axle is the original one.

The front drive shaft (2 piece) is loose at the joint, and it will cost $200 for a machine shop to put on a new tip.

Did Ford make different length/type front shafts for my truck?
What another years had the same shaft?
