Lightbulb Turbo bolt pattern?

Hey fellas, I got a brilliant idea while I was reading through the psd custom turbo thread.

Seeing as I have an extra Banks turbo pedestal on hand...what other turbochargers would fit that rectangular bolt pattern on the pedestal? If I can get that figured out, along with my own piping and oil system, I just might fab up my own turbo system.

Anyone have an idea? I might be able to get some dimensions if it will help. Thanks.

post a pic of it, the thing i hate about the psd turbo is that it has oil pressure and return in the same side which makes thing hard, but psd turbos are plentyful and farliy cheap to upgrade and rebuild

Alright, I'll post a picture of the turbo and the mount.

I might do a PSD turbo if I can find one that will match this bolt pattern...or possibly swap the turbine housings.

Here is the banks turbocharger:

Here is the pedestal:

Makes sense...but what kind of turbos does hypermax use? Something generic like a Garret G3 turbocharger or a mitsubishi turbo like Banks does?

I can only hope it is the easier one to find...

Anyone have an idea of what turbochargers would bolt to that pedestal I linked earlier?

really i have no idea what would work with that, but im pretty sure that it wont work with psd tubo, when i started my psd turbo i was going to use the non gated version but the one the guy was going to sell me had a bolt broke in it, so he sent me a wastegated version

that turbo mount flange is a t3 flange hypermax is a t4 flange (wont work). there are many turbos that will mount even internal wastegated turbos... just need to make sure waste gate clears everything on the engine.

before you pick a different turbo you need to make sure it is sized correctly for your engine ie. cfm and pressure ratio... some will choke the engine and others will launch the heads into the hood.

go to garretts website they have a good writeup on sizing turbos.

Nope, just ended up selling the turbo kit. Now that I have the other pedestal and some free time, I thought I would do some fabrication work.

A T3 flange is it? That is a step in the right direction. I am searching for a similar turbo to what Banks/ATS/Hypermax offer with their kits, without the $700+ price tag for a brand new one.

I will have to go and read the literature on the Garrett website. Thanks for the tip.
