Cool Damn bolt!!!

So I'm changing my pads and rotors. Passenger side, no problem. Driver side, the caliper came off without a hitch. The carriage that holds the pads is another story. The bolts are frozen even after a ton of WD-40. I have no torch and its right next to the brake lines so i would be hesitant to use an open flame anyway. IT MUST COME OFF OR I WILL LOSE MY MIND. Any suggestions? I might put back the old pads and limp to my friend garage to see if he can get it off but I want to do it myself if I can. Help.

A little w-d40, tap with a hmmer, let it sit a couple hours, repeat, repeat. Use a six piont socket. An impact wrench will have more effect also.

PB Blaster is my choice of lubricant. Try that with some light tapping. That should do it

BC, in our area they really do like to use the salt on the roads in the winter... lol.

When I have done my brakes on my 150 I have used PB Blaster also and when you re-assemble just make sure to use some anit-seize on the rotor where it meets the hub and of course make sure to lube up those sliders.

If you can get some one to hold presure on your wrench and tap on it with a hammer and punch at the same time it helps alot. I have had to put a floor jack under my wrench and use the jack to turn it. Good luck.

I forgot that one. You can turn and tap by yourself with a box end wrench if you have the room.

WD40 is a water dispersant, NOT a penetrating oil. Use PB Blaster!

Damn bolt !!!!!!

Thanks for all the advice. In the future I will use pb blaster. I use their dry lube on tools and their garage door track lube and it works good. I got a big breaker bar at my friends shop and it came off like butta. All the wd must have helped. Anyway, the new brakes feel good. I just hope the rotors last. I went with summits own brand as the local stoor brands always seem to warp on me. I guess all the new stuff is chinese junk. Remember when america used to make stuff? What happened? My mud tires don't help the situation either. By the way, if anyone wants to know. Pro Comp tires suck! I'm going back to BF Goodrich. See ya next time.

Use a real penetrating oil and do more arm curls in your free time.

You beat me to it. I use AeroKroil and have had excellent luck with it, but PB Blaster is a great product too.
