Updating to a Suncoast Direct solenoid next week and was wondering what the part number is for the 3-5 shift solenoid and what the price was? That shift is getting really sloppy in my truck and i figured I would replace it while i was in there.

You're going to want to get the Billet Input shaft as well. Also you're going to need to get your tunes updated otherwise the tranny will grab like there is no tomorrow and it'll be rough.
Because he is wanting to change out the solonoid that does the 3-5 shift, he is going to have to compensate for that. That is one that has really had the overhaul done to it in order to handle more power. It just saves from having to do it over again. In all honesty, I would advise just going ahead and doing the rebuild, but that's me.
Pulling the tranny and doing a rebuild vs. dropping the pan and changing solenoids... He didn't say anything about handling more power, just trying to get rid of the 3-5 flare.

Ok, evidently it's not coming across. The Suncoast kit has changed that solonoid, it is not the same as a factory solonoid and that has to be compensated for, because Suncoast has beefed up that particular unit because most people get these stuff to handle more power, very few are doing what the OP is doing. Rather or not the OP is personally adding more power or not, that solonoid is made for more power(as it is the weak link of this tranny) and has to be "told" what is going on thru tuning.
Going back to the input shaft, because of how this tranny is going to be acting with that beefed up solonoid, it's going to take a toll on the regular input shaft. This is like a cascading thing, one thing just leads to another. If his 3-5 shift is getting slopping, I'm willing to bet his intermediate clutch is gone or close to it. 3-5 going bad was the first sign that I had about my tranny needing to be worked on.
You do not need to beef up the tranny. It will not increase the harshness of the tranny IF you can put the tranny through a relearn...meaning retune the truck.
