Morning out there in truck land....yesterdays swap meet was a success, I moved a couple of old mustang parts and made a dollar or two. It was nice and cool under the trees and was back at home by one.

Afternoon all, Johnny I'm not going, I've heard of the event but I've never attended.
Been to cruising the coast, have you been to that? You need to go a least once and enjoy the traffic jams.

Hey Barry, yes I've been to cruising the coast once and we had a blast, we set up in a little park by the commercial boat harbor, tail gated and cooked and watched all the rides go by!! I think we may go to this one just to check it out

i did a cam swap in my 77 w/ the 302 and the c4 got it all back together started it up relized trans line was leaking... lost maybe 2 quarts. got the line patched started the truck back up broke in the cam at bout 2k for 15 mins or so engine runs strong now. put the 3 qrts trans fluid in got about 1/2-3/4 qrt too much OPPS.got in it to go test drive and see the cam in action and my 3 speed trans will only go from 1st too 2nd and not shift into 3rd WHY? would to much trans fluid make it do this or did i fry my trans some how. shifted out fine when parked to do cam swap.

Did you get your linkage messed up when you pulled the engine?
Next I would make sure the fluid is at proper operating level. If those pan out you prolly fried the tranny

According to the radar/weatherman at least water falls from the sky on occasion up there. The JXN airport reports .12 inch for the month of June & I ain't even seen that. Shheesh

Mark:

Try draining off some till you get the correct level. Fluid could be foamed up & not pumping right.

Afternoon to all, been a while since I have been back on the forum been a busy summer already and haven't even got started. Changed the brakes on the SD last wknd..... Wow fun fun fun.... It was not bad except for leaving the E-Brake applied and trying to take the rear rotors off This doesnt work very well.. But once I figured out what I had done it was a piece of cake. Went ahead and changed both rotors and brakes front and rear and man what a difference...... Hope all are having a good and safe summer so far
