LATEST UPDATE OF THE RULES
(This should answer most questions)

1) Contest open to all model and year Ford Trucks (includes vans, SUV's, All Wheel Drive, all levels of customization, etc)

2) Number of entries in each round limited to the first ten who enter a round. If after two weeks have passed there are less than ten but more than one entries, the entries for that round will close and the deciding poll will run anyway. If there is only one entry it wins by default and moves on to the CHAMPIONSHIP round. (If there are NO entries I have failed!)

3) To enter - post a picture of your truck in the ENTRY THREAD for that round at least 640 by 480 pixels in size (no links to other sites. Picture must be displayed in thread) Avoid extremely large images, please. (1024 pixels largest side of image). Huge pictures may interfere with some connection speeds. ALL images will be tailored to size by committee to fit in the first post in the poll threads

4) RULE OF OWNERSHIP: You must have owned the truck AT THE TIME YOUR PICTURE OF IT WAS TAKEN to enter it. You may not enter anyone elses truck FOR them. No exceptions

5) CHAMPIONSHIP RULES:
The first place finisher in each round qualifies and is entered in the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND.
After ten regular rounds, the CHAMPIONSHIP consists of the first place finishers from the preceeding ten rounds running in a "Best of the Best" contest.

6) VOTE MONGERING: You may enlist your buds and chapter, other groups or whatever to vote for your entry. HOWEVER - be warned that all of the polls are annonymous, and your buds can always vote for someone else. There is no way to know! SPAMMING the forums should not be done at any time for this purpose, be careful what you do...

7) Once a poll is up for a round, it will be active for exactly 14 days. These polls close by themselves and whoever wins does. If for some reason there is a tie - a tie breaker poll will run until the following sunday night at the latest. Local midnight is based on Central Time in the USA.

8) NON-EXCLUSION: Employees of FTE and/or IBI welcome to enter including moderators or other unpaid affiliates as well as sponsors of the site - and all FTE Users

9) REPEAT ENTRIES: Out of sportsmanship, it is asked that if you want to enter a following contest, enter no more than two in a row. After waiting for one in between, you may enter again. THIS WILL NOT BE ENFORCED! It is a request, in order to give others a chance
*First place finishers must wait until after the CHAMPIONSHIP round for obvious reasons.

10) PRIZES: 1st place winner in each round will recieve a free one year paid membership to Club FTE, which provides access to extra features such as the Club FTE Members Only forum. Those who already are supporters will be given a twelve month extension to the membership they already have. For the Championship Round we are considering passing the hat to purchase trophies - this is under development.

As you can see (if you've been following this from the start) the only rule that has changed is the 'Rule of Prizes'. Thanks to IBI and especially Adrian we now have goodies for the first place finishers in each round leading up to the Championship Round.

As stated we are starting to look at how we can put together a trophy fund to possibly get a set of engraved cups or something for the first, second, and third place Champions. The Championship trophies are still very much under discussion, and all inputs on that subject are welcome and encouraged at any time!

"WE" is the Contest Committee - with one exception we are all ordinary FTE Members, I invited IB Adrian onto the committee as a point of contact and advisor so that we do nothing that is against IBI or FTE standing policies. Interested parties that want to jump in and help, ask and Ye shall probably be included. It's far from being an overcrowded boardroom...

IDEAS and SUGGESTIONS are encouraged at all times

~Dutch

I'd kinda like some opinions on something - I've been working on making these rounds (especially the polls) as graphically SWEET as I can make them. Tonight I've been going around and around on the poll subject line for round three. At the link below is a test poll to see which of two styles works the best, I think the poll runs five days. Drop in and look them over if you have a few minutes:

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/85...sion-time.html

Eventually I want to put together some with little FORD OVALS at each end. But that can be easily done later...

We uhhh, we have some suprises coming up for round three. Nothing bad - just a few refinements and incentives that will be posted up front.

This game gets better and better everyday I swear!

Going into this round I was pretty sure IB Adrian would extend the same gifts that were true of prior contest runs, but I couldn't "COUNTRY SWEAR" to it. So it would've been wrong of me to step over that line and make a promise I couldn't keep.

Nor did I want to go hat in hand and ask it.... After all, this dream is all my doing. That it has worked out this far is a sign that it is a thing well worth it that everyone thinks the best of.

The graciousness of the powers that be are wonderful, that's a fact. But this whole thing is a grass-roots effort by FORD TRUCKERS from FTE. Every single one of these "SHOWS" were made to happen by people that wanted it.

All I did was stick in a shovel and plant a seed...

So in a way - even though I may be considered the 'FATHER' of these online contests - I'm really more like a farmer. You do what you do, prepare the ground, plant seeds in there, and hope for the best.

But I tell Ya what -
This thing here is looking a lot like a pumpkin plant. If you thought it couldn't get any bigger, you best step back before it grows right up over you.....

"Yessir - they found him right over there underneath a five hundred pound squash. But he had the biggest smile on his face..."

It's lookin' good people! And you might think you have me to thank for it but that isn't entirely right. We also have to thank ALL OF YOU. Not just the contestants but all of the fans of these things. Without EVERYONE it just would not be possible.
