I wonder what can happen in a week. If I was after one of these rounds - I'd probably wait until the last 24 hours and then start rounding up votes anywhere I could think of...

I do kinda like the idea that a "JOLLY ROGER" is implied to be flying next to the starting flag in these though. It adds a whole new dimension
What is a game where no "PLAYERSHIP" is allowed? This is the other notion that I worried about. Find a way to make it even more fun and potentially creative, UNLIMITED...
But without anyone getting their feelings hurt.
It's important to me that everyone has a good time with it, and if people explore FTE because of it so much the better!
Yeah - but I also realise that it takes an idea time to grow and catch on. THIS one is so radical in some ways that I know for sure it needs to be moved into slowly so that no one feels burned or cheated in any way.
It will take some time before real players start popping up and seriously go after it, we've already had some close brushes that may have turned some people off to the game completely. Let's just remember that this whole new concept is in a formative stage right now even still.
When the SERIOUSLY HEAVY PLAYERS jump in - thing will hopefully be adapted to by then. I'm playing it by ear all the way, I don't know if there will ever BE players like I visualise. But there is one key point underlying the whole plan:
"IT'S A GAME".
Nothing more, nothing less. It should be jumped into for pure old fashioned fun. There's a lot of room in it for fun, too!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You can PM a friend, and have it seen by one. OR you can drop a dime in a friends "PROFILE COMMENTS" and it will be seen over and over again...

One thing I can think of is simple: RATE THE THREAD!
Good, bad, indifferent, whatever. The stars will attract notice, and do that to all future rounds. I can't do that myself because it's my own thread.
