Congrats Orin, that is great news!

Afternoon to everyone else.

Truck is working great again, now to put back 600$ for the MBRP exhaust and another 150$ for gauge pod and gauges.

It never ends

Jack, it that your heater control valve? What does it attach to? You may have a static charge or a stray current on that thing causing electrolysis. A ground wire might solve that problem. Take a voltage reading between battery neg. and your coolant. Anything over .02volts and there is a problem.

Good evenning South Carolina, thank you. I took a short time off with the grandson to conk out for a bit and feel a little more human now or at least alive. Talked a little bit ago with with family still there and every thing is going splendid with mother and baby.

I will be returning my grandson this coming Sunday when my daughter is released from the hospital after which things should become a little more quiet around here. I will try to bring him up here a few more times through the summer to help mom and dad out.

I' am digging this grandparent thing more and more all the time.

i 've done that bruce its the valve itself. i've done the eletrolysis and its .01volts so i know its not that. i used to do those on the big rigs. yes its the heater control valve.
i made sure of that! the first 2 were under warranty by ford,1 by carquest and 2 napa.
and they all leak within about a year...and my truck is very well maintained!
no stray voltage otherwise i'd get zapped everytime i got out of the truck. its a leaky valve!
it attaches to the heater core the in and out of the core.

So you are saying that the valves are failing, but nothing to do with electrolysis? That's a lot of freaking failures isn't it?
