Sorry for your loss Dave, like you said though, she's in a better place, there can be peace in passing.
My first time there Neil was right after hurricane Hugo. I was invited down to look at some work so I didn't get to see it in all of it's glory. It was the first time I had ever seen tornado damage up close, wow, I didn't understand why they cut the fire trails in a wavy, zig zag pattern, then someone informed me it was a tornado path.
I had driven by a lake in Florence and saw these immense fish that where floating on the surface dead and stinking. An elderly women who lived up the road said she lived there her whole life and had never seen or caught any of these monsters, they must have stayed on the bottom and grown old and fat, they where between 3 and 5 foot. The change in the barometric pressure killed them and they all floated to the surface.
In spite of the disaster the people where the most gracious I had ever met, they reminded me of the people in rural Pa.. I even saw a small town cruise night, if I didn't know better I would have sworn I was in the happy days movie. And the trucks had plenty of mud on them.
