Awersome!

I finally got sick of Verizon DSL and went back to a cable modem yesterday.

The speed difference is outstanding. I download pretty big files and went from about 45 kbps to 647 kbps at the moment!

Oh wait, it's ramping up to over 750 kbps!

I'm jealous, man! Seriously! I, um, acquire hi-speed access via wireless from an
unknown neighbor. It's OK (about 350kbps is as high as I've ever seen it) but isn't
terrifically reliable, I sometimes have to be sitting in just the right position or
have the USB wireless adapter oriented just so. And, they sometimes leave for the
weekend and shut everything off when they go. Cuts me off. But I save several
hundred dollars per year that I can spend on other stuff, so I live with it....

Actually, the link at the bottom is to the Terms of Service (TOS) page, not to
the Posting Guidelines;

I searched around some looking for 'em but couldn't find 'em, no way, no how.
I thought I should find 'em in the new user registration area but I can't get
there, it tells me I'm already logged in and only provides a link to the user
control panel thing for changing passwords. The FAQ seems to list only
documentation (instructions) on how to use the forum, nothing on policies.
There is absolutely no mention of 'em on the 'Forums' section front page.
Nor could I find 'em in the TOS or Privacy Policy.

Perhaps they're available as a guest (not logging in) in the "sign up here"
section.

I don't display any sigs at all, I find they take up too much real estate.

I found 'em via the google interface from the home page, they're at
http://www.ford-trucks.com/guidelines.html

Now, if the site will stay operational long enough to successfully post this
....

You are right, link to TOS is at the bottom of the page. But so is the link to the Guidelines. It's hiding in plain site in the colored band:

What is up with that?
I just read the rules and they say we can not talk about using carfax for free. Why?

What that means is we aren't allowed to start a thread like "Hey, anybody got a Carfax they can give me?" or "Who needs a carfax?"
It's because it's against Carfax's terms and conditions. FTE doesn't want to be a party to depriving carfax of their revenue. It's a professional courtesy and keeps FTE out of legal trouble.

I thought that it was saying you could not say something like " I am looking at buying this truck and the carfax I got says it was wrecked before. should I still get it or find another?" that makes sense.
why is the site haveing so many double post, lock-ups,etc.?
