Really....

Have you ever driven a BMW 540 Sport with a stick?

I have and nearly bought one 2 years ago:

4,398 cc / 268.4 CID
324 foot-pounds @ 3,600 RPM

That car is one of my favorite for performance, handling and style and STILL gets over 20 mpg.

Yes I have. You're forgetting I am German, Born and raised IN Munich.
My dad drives nothing but Mercedes.
The performance from a Mercedes will make ANY BMW look like it is standing still
Take the C63 against the M3, and the M3 will get lost in a cloud of smoke.
Take S63 against the 750 and once again, the BMW gets lost in a cloud of smoke again!
the quality of BMW to Mercedes is like comparing Hyundai to a Ford, you get more bang from your buck in a mercedes, you get a higher quality built vehicle, and you're getting a vehicle whose company actually knows what they are doing when it comes to motor sport racing.

There never was a discussion regarding Mercedes vs. BMW.

My point was that your statement is incorrect:

"in reality, BMW are over priced, underpowered, Taxis"

the statement is not incorrect.
They are over priced, underpowered, good for nothing but being Taxis.
oh wait, they are not even good enough for that, they don't last long enough.

hittman1422 is starting off with a positive reputation.
BTW that phrase in your sig, my lug nuts require-bla bla bal... has become a catch-phrase when ricers 'brag' about their monsterous torque specs.... i had a little civic cut me off, give me the finger, then 'speed' away... i ran into him 20min. later in the parking lot of macdonalds... he was in the drive through with his girl, i presume, (who was wearing a sonic uniform BTW lol!) and i asked him to step out of the car... he almost pissed himself! ches can tell you i'm not a very big guy but he was about 120 MAX and couldent have been over 5'7... really felt good to make him look like such a prick in front of his chick.. ha i rhyme!

and for future reference it appears that the whole chat thread thing is working nicely... i'm willing to make a new one every first of the month but if Mr. moderator would rather do it I wont complain... should be gettin my laptop back in a few weeks so i'll be back on all the time again!

and one last thing... i was told i could throw a crank out of a 400M in a 351W no problem and come out with a 408 stroker! tis dis true? or tis dis not true?
keep on keepin on my fellow FTE'ers

and yes everything you said about nascar is true... fines, penalties, suspensions
gordon however
ok off to sleep

No.

No.

And no.

It's doable and there are kits available these days to make it easier, but one
does not merely throw a 400 crank into a wheezer block with no problems. Call
up Tim Meyer (tmeyerinc.com) and talk to him about it, or google it or
sumthin'

well if you're on a laptop, it's either FN and then prt sc
or
ctrl and prt scn
then open up Paint, and paste (ctrl V or edit -> paste)
then Image -> crop *crop the selected area* then go back to Image -> crop and it should get rid of all the other junk and leave you with the little test results
Then save, add it to photobucket, get the IMG code, paste the code in here and the results of the testes will show up in your post.

I would do it, but I can't get to the test
