Herculiner on rocker panels

I got a silver 94 Excab and its starting with the usual rust around the cab corners and rocker areas. I've seen jeep owners tape of the rockers and roll on herculiner and it didnt look that bad. I was thinking about getting herculiners product that is died gray and putting it on my rockers to inhibit the rust. Anyone else ever do this?

I've done it before on a few blazers I had in the past. Make sure you remove as much of the surface rust as possible, i dont think its any better than paint for inhibiting the rust; its not gonna stop the rust completely.
It protects a little better than paint as far as stone chips go.
Butttt i will say, it IS harder to clean dirt from when you wash the truck.
