Is the transfer case coupled to the trans. by a short shaft?

Dave, Yeah thats it in the second pic. It is a larger diameter than the 1950 shaft. They were prone to breakage so they were made a little stronger for the 51 & 52. Mark

Hey Scott. Darnedest things what you find when you go wandering around, isn't it? These are certainly some incredible cars and trucks. Stu

Pete - I wish mine was a far along as Marks. Those pics are of his, not mine.

Too bad you're thinking of selling yours. I understand the time issue. That's why mine isn't further along. Take care. Stu

Thanks all for posting the pics of the MH vehicles, they are all great. You are doing a great job preserving them. It seems each of them are one of a kind.

Here is one I saw this past weekend, now looking back I should have taken more detailed pictures, and some of the undercarriage. If I see it again in the future I will. but for now here they are.
Josh

WOW...that is awesome! If I had to guess, I'd say that's a recent Nick Alexander restoration for Ford collector Ron Thorne of Utah. Is that a Ford Explorer green? The military tires are also interesting - must be quite a harsh ride. Mine does much better on BFG Mud-Terrain Radials.

Nick or one of his guys just fabricated the copper tracks for the side curtains on my dad's 32 Model B Station Wagon. They did a great job.

Did you see that the M H 's that sold at Pebble Beach for over 200k each? Dad was excited to see a 32 sell for over 150k... He paid $250.00 in '62 for his.

Yeah - interesting that the '46 outsold the '40 Standard that won it's class at Pebble Beach in 2003. The Mud-Terrain BFGs on my Merc came from Nick's '46 M-H; he wont use radials on his restorations, so we swapped for the Goodyear "Workhorse" bias-plies I was running. Thanks for the link! Dad's showing the wagon for the first time next month in Murphy at the Concours.

Here's his car. I'll try to get some newer shots since he's got it completely restored at this point.
