2009 FTE Online Truck Championship (entry thread) ROUND TWO
Ladies and gents - round one is complete, and round two will now commence.
The top dog of round one is sddesigns 01 Excursion XLT 4X4 - who will now go on to the championship round.
Now, take note that under the rules sddesigns is ineligible for the rest of the rounds until that championship round comes up, but ALSO the rest of the first round contestants are eligible to re-enter in this round and others...
The championship round will run in december at the latest.
Now let's recap the rules as they are:
1) Contest open to all model and year Ford Trucks (includes vans, SUV's, All Wheel Drive, all levels of customization, etc)
2) Number of entries in each round limited to the first ten who enter a round. If after two weeks have passed there are less than ten but more than one entries, the entries for that round will close and the deciding poll will run anyway. If there is only one entry it wins by default and moves on to the CHAMPIONSHIP round. (If there are NO entries I have failed!)
3) To enter - post a picture of your truck at least 640 by 480 pixels in size (no links to other sites. Picture must be displayed in thread) Avoid extremely large images, please. (1024 pixels largest side of image). Huge pictures may interfere with some connection speeds. ALL images will be tailored to size by committee to fit in poll thread
4) RULE OF OWNERSHIP: You must have owned the truck AT THE TIME YOUR PICTURE OF IT WAS TAKEN to enter it. You may not enter anyone elses truck FOR them. No exceptions
5) CHAMPIONSHIP RULES:
The first place finisher in each round qualifies and is entered in the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND.
After ten regular rounds, the CHAMPIONSHIP consists of the first place finishers from the preceeding ten rounds running in a "Best of the Best" contest.
6) VOTE MONGERING: You may enlist your buds and chapter, other groups or whatever to vote for your entry. HOWEVER - be warned that all of the polls are annonymous, and your buds can always vote for someone else. There is no way to know! SPAMMING the forums should not be done at any time for this purpose, be careful what you do...
7) Once a poll is up for a round, it will be active for exactly 14 days. These polls close by themselves and whoever wins does. If for some reason there is a tie - a tie breaker poll will run until the following sunday night at the latest. Local midnight is based on Central Time in the USA.
8) NON-EXCLUSION: Employees of FTE and/or IBI welcome to enter including moderators or other unpaid affiliates as well as sponsors of the site
9) REPEAT ENTRIES: Out of sportsmanship, it is asked that if you want to enter a following contest, enter no more than two in a row. After waiting for one in between, you may enter again. THIS WILL NOT BE ENFORCED! It is a request, in order to give others a chance First place finishers must wait until after the CHAMPIONSHIP round for obvious reasons.
10) At this time, no prizes are implied to be awarded other than personal satisfaction - we do this because we love it!
So here we go again, the round is open to entries, and the first ten to post up a pic and say "I'M IN!" will establish the next run.
Hey - I told ya it would be a madhouse. Part of the reason I set it up like this is because I could not prevent it. Another reason was because I wanted to see what kind of methods and tactics people would develop, but the FINAL reason was because if people competing did not spread the word - I'd be pretty much left barking at the moon....
So now it becomes: "How much do you want to win?"
Seriously!
People, the pace truck is circling the track even as we speak - who will follow it?
Post up and lets go! First ten are the runners, same as dirt track racing. The trophy heat is still to come...
*I have resisted the urge to put one of mine in here because I felt it would not be right for the guy running the show to do that.

The first round was full in just under 24 hours can round two beat it?

You're supporting the rest of these? OUTSTANDING!!!
Hey we got a pink tag on one of these trucks, I wonder what that will mean. Do you suppose some of these guys out there will suddenly flex their - "fenderwells" - or something?
But realistically, it's good sportsmanship to jump in and follow/cheer on the rest after you already bagged the first round. Good on you!
I note that you have updated your sig line - and that's just plain good tactics for anyone jumping into this madhouse. The more people that hear about it the better!
*Folks - that man up there from New Jersey is the round one first place finisher, and a prime example of the sportsmanship that this is all about.
You got that right. I wonder what would go down if glruff entered a ride though....
(Ummm.... Forget I said that.)
(I didn't MEAN it)
(Delete it...)
What IS interesting though is how people connect to make their own truck popular. Also the way chapters come in and back up locals. The chapter initiative is all the more reason to build up a solid chapter and mix with people. A suprising lot of things happen when chapters come together...
