baumann or banks trans command, any preference??

just installed a used e4od in my 89 f350 with the 7.3 turbo diesel. this tranny was supposed to be rebuilt with all the heavy duty goodies. must have had a shift kit installed too as it changes with a solid feel that none of the previous trannys have had! (2 trannys were ford rebuilds and the last one was an atx?) after reading some of the posts about changeing out the computer in favor of either the baumann or banks trans command so the shifting could be controlled, i thought that would be a good thing to do.?.? any preference on which unit is best? also i am a little puzzled, i have read that this tranny is all electronicly controlled but i have seen shift kits for it. and it's obvious to me that something has been done inside the tranny since it changes so differently and it is still using the same computer it has always had. what's up?
