ENTHUSIASTS MAGAZINE. on the 2001 lightning. well here goes:: ENGINE:: bore & stroke is 90mm times 105.6mm,, DISPLACEMENT: 5,410cc (330cid),, Compression Ratio:: 8.4:1,, Horsepower:: 380h.p.@4,750r.p.m.,, specific output:: 70.2 horsepower per liter,, Redline:: 5,250 r.p.m.,, Transmission: (4R100) four speed automatic,, Drive Shaft:: 4.5-in. aluminum,, Rear Axle:: 9.75-in. ring gear with limited slip differential, ratio 3.73:1 ratio,, 1st. gear: 2.71 ratio 43 m.p.h.,, 2nd. gear: 1.53 ratio 76 m.p.h.,, 3rd. gear 1.00 ratio 119 m.p.h.,, 4th. gear 0.71 ratio 142 m.p.h.,, reverse 2.176 ratio,, PERFORMANCE:: 0-60 m.p.h. is 5.8 seconds. QUARTER MILE:: 13.9 seconds @ 100 m.p.h.,, 0-100-0 m.p.h.:: 22.0 seconds,, TOP SPEED:: 142 m.p.h., Braking, 60-0 : 136 feet,, Braking, 80-0 m.p.h. is :238 feet, 80 ft. slalom: 63.6 m.p.h. , 100 ft. skid pad: 0.85g,, fuel economy(est.): 13 m.p.g. city, and 17 m.p.g. highway, and tire size: 295/45ZR-18 goodyear eagle F1-GS unidirectional tires built with the next generation F1-GS rubber compound. the mass sensor is increased from 80mm to 90mm. well ford fanatics these are specs. taken right from fords magazine, i think the 2001 looks a little better than last year but that is just my opinion though.you can definitly say that ford owns THE fastest production truck on the market hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you'll get no argument out of me,, i agree! i can say the name definitly fits the truck! i heard of reports of ford putting together a lightning with over 400 h.p. if i here any thing else i'll pass it along.
