A friend of mine has a truck just like mine. 2006 F-150 SCREW FX4 5.4 3v, and they towed it in on a rollback today. Dealer said that the injectors were spraying fuel when it wasn't suppossed to and hydrolocked the engine. Is this a common thing on the 2006, or is it even feasible? I know the 2005 had some injector problems but was unaware of any on the 2006. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback and info!
Unfortunatly, yes, it's possible. Usually only see this on '05's with the suspect injectors though. I'd be curious to see what the build date on that truck is. Did it just seize up on him?
No, he I think he tried to crank it one to many times. Its still under the 3/36 warranty and then he has the powertrain on top of it. I will see if I can find out the date and let you know.
