Welcome NDP! A new thread introducing yourself might get more attention, but to answer your question, the cabs are the same F1-6, front fenders F2-6, frames and wheelbase vary as you go bigger. I know of an F6 in North MN, if that's not too far away. F7/8 cabs are the same also, but the front is wider.

Why Yes; Yes I Do! :)
My wife wants me to repaint the 52 F6 the same color it is now, the paint code is "G" which I believe is "Glen Mist Green" its hard to tell if they are in fact the same color??? http://s216.photobucket.com/albums/c...d%20F6%20dump/
And yes, I really don't have a use for this truck other than saying "that is one cool truck" hopefully I can drive it in the St Patricks Day parade next spring, If I can get it fixed up that soon! Tires and rims are going to be a killer on the checkbook though, I am not familair with the widow makers but assume these will need to go, plus the front tires are so big they almost rub the fenders!
speaking of big trucks, I wish I was closer to go look at these. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=&ni...iew&ad=1451415
they have been for sale quite a while and price has come down but I bet they could be had for even less??
btw NDP welcome to the best group of ford truck lovers anywhere!

And I really want this truck!
thing is is that I probably couldn't afford it; but they are letting it sit there
with the Glass missing and collecting water inside!!
I am still trying to contact the owners to see if I can adopt it! plus down the street from this one is a really nice 48 49 firetruck with a tree growing up and over it!!! I wish I had that kind of problem. lol
Problem is I don't even now what kind of value to expect on this COE to make an offer, that and I dont know how rusty it is either? notice the dog in picture #2
Cheers

The pictures are pretty much in time. The photobucket did auto arrange some of the donor rig pictures, but most all of the build/progress shots are more or less in sequencial order.
