Need help with 6.0L

Well just got back from a 500 mile round trip on monday. Tuesday the truck ran fine, and now this morning it's not starting. I did this twice up on our trip but it fixed it self when you turn the key off and on. Any Ideas?
Thanks
Nick

Try unplugging your ICP sensor and let it default to see if the engine runs.

2004 model year the ICP was moved from under the turbo to the right front valve cover. Just want you to unplug it and the pressure reading will default.

The ICP (Injection Control Pressure) sensor needs to read 500 psig to fire the injectors. If it fails low, you will crank but not start. By unhooking it, your computer detects that it is not present and goes to a default control strategy that should allow your truck to start if the ICP sensor is truly what has failed. If you are having problems with your LPOP (low pressure oil pump) or HPOP (high pressure oil pump), disconnecting the ICP sensor will not make any difference.

Can you tell us more about your truck. Have you changed fuel filters recently? Does it have a strong crank but just not start? Are you sure your batteries are good? I always load test my batteries as the very first troubleshooting task when I have a no-start condition.

The second thing to check is to make sure you do not have loose fuel filter caps, cracked caps, or failed o-rings. Then make sure your secondary fuel filter bowl is filling up.

There are many things that can cause a no-start. Need more info to really troubleshoot, but you have a few easy things to check.

No to be stupid but there are a lot of plugs in that area. Does any one have a pic of one?

Alright I found out it's my ICP Sensor that went out. Does any one know where to get them cheap?
Thanks

I wouldn't worry about price at this point, head for the dealer and pick one up. Make sure to inspect the wiring harness at the plug also.

They want 160 for a little sensor? I don't feel right spending that much on a little part.

Here is the ICP part number 4C3Z9F838AB

Try your local International dealer, the 6.0L engine is a VT365 IH or use Google search to find a deal from someone else like Ebay if you want to wait and have it shipped to your address. FTE Parts Guy

Sometimes spending $30 in fuel running between parts stores to save $5 doesn't seem rational.
