2006 Expy, 17,500 miles! what do you think

The wife and I need a bigger family/dog hauler. I found a 2006 Expy XLT, 5.4L, with only 17,500 miles! This thing looks like it just came off a new Ford lot. I don't see a thing wrong with it. They bought it new, and have basically hardly used it. Only put 3000 miles on it last year. Regular maint done at a Ford dealer. They were asking $22,000, bottom line of $19,800. We have been looking at Tahoes and Expys. We like the 3rd seat in the Expy better, and it also folds flat. I converted to deisels in 04, giving up my 02 F150. The 3v 5.4 is a nice engine. What do ya'll think? Anything to be aware of? I know the family that is selling. They buy their Christmas Trees from me. It seems like a really nice vehicle. Thanks for the info, Levi

berry1234 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I see high private party blue book at $19,285. If it were me I wouldn't pay high blue book in this markey/economy. How about $16,500 cash?

solid vehicles

but I'm with berry here. The XLT has pretty much nothing option wise as it's the base model, and roughly $20,000 for a 3 yr old vehicle is alot...now a KR or EB Expy...I could see that pricing.

if you look around, you can find used 08's for under $30,000. That Expy was probably about $35,000 brand new in 2006...you can figure it's only worth 1/2 that price right now
