Just picked up a 2007 F150

Hello, I just traded in my 2008 Crew Cab Lariat F250 for a 2007 Super Crew FX4 F150. I have long admired the looks of this truck, and could not pass this one up. I intend to change the exhaust soon and add a CAI before I tune it with a SCT product. I am new to this vehicle, other than knowing that this 5.4 has no buisness in a crew cab SD. I hope to mesh as well here as I did in the Super Duty forum, any tips or advice would be great.

Welcome to the Dark Side of FTE..."The 1/2 tons That Could"...very nice FX4....looks a wee bit butt heavy though

might want to look up Autosprings on eBay. You can purchase their 1.5" rear Add-A-Leaf for under $150 shipped...that should get you roughly leveled out, and the Bulldog look gone

Which lift kit you got btw?

got any ideas on where you want to go with the truck? the 04-08 F-150 is so versatile in the mods arena

So was the 2008 F250 the redesign? If so I can't believe you went to a 07 F150, the 2008 F250's interior is way better IMO.

Regardless I have had good luck with Magnaflow exhaust, sounds good, and no crazy drone. Although I have never had any other brand so I imagine the others sound good too. Like tylus suggested that thing would look loads better with a leveling kit, looks a little low in the rear end unless its the camera angle.

I liked the 2008 design of the F250, but from a power to weight ratio stand point, the F250 with a 5.4 is not a sound design. Yes the rear is lower than the front, a common issue with out of the box lifts but easily fixed. I haven't figgured out the lift brand yet, but it is well put together and uses heavy duty parts. I'll look for part numbers when time allows. I do plan on lifting the rear about 2" with either add-a-leafs or a full spring set. As for exhaust, I don't like the popping sound of the Magnaflows on this engine. I'll most likely go with Flowmaster again, my 5.4 in the F250 seemed to like it. My overall direction, is a simple daily driver that can go where it's told. I will be driving my Fusion most of the time due to a 1 hour commute to and from work, so it needs to be wife and kids friendly.

Nevermind, I didn't realize the f250 didn't have a diesel in it. Well then with the 5.4l I could understand the switch. I was thinking the F250 has the 6.4l
