FASS Fuel Pump Blowing Fuses
I recently purchased a 2001 F350. The truck has 62000 miles on it. I replaced a leaking water pump last week and while driving the truck to bring it up to temperature to test my cooling system the truck started running rough and lost power \ throttle response. I towed it home and found a blown fuel pump fuse in the box under the hood.
The pump is an after market FASS pump with a Fuelab pressure regulator.
I replaced the fuse and turned the key on. The pump started and ran for about 20 seconds before it blew the new 20 amp maxi fuse. I doubt the water pump replacement had anything to do with my electrical problems but I thought I would ask you guys for input. Thanks for any response!

I just talked to my local FASS Dealer. He suggested I unplug the fuel bowl heater to isolate the fuel pump on the electrical circuit. I will then install a new fuse and turn the key on to see what happens. If the fuse does not blow I have a faulty fuel bowl heater.
As I was searching my owners manual for the fuel pump fuse location, I do not recall seeing the bowl heater being listed as an item on this circuit. I guess I will recheck my manual tonight when I get home.
