Hi,
I got the code about the EGR valve, I'll replace it if it throws an error again but on the meanwhile I suppose that valve should be able to get a second air by cleaning it..
Any hints on how to clean it?

Pretty hard since you can't get to the needle/seat! They are sometimes open on the side where you can see the rod from the diaphram. You'd need a vacuum pump to hold the valve open and maybe spray carb cleaner hoping it trickles down to the seat, then work the open/closed repeatedly.
The fitting from the EGR tube to the valve can be a real bugger! I ended up sawing my EGR tube on my '97 Ranger after removing the wheel, wheel well, 2/3 of the fitting, sprays and heat.
Never replaced an EGR valve on an Escape.P0401 was ALWAYS a bad PDFE sensor---Ford had a TSB on it and if it came up with a p0401--no egr flow just replace the delta pressure feedback sensor. LOL Blue
