1964 f100 steering column

Steering shaft for a 64 is a solid shaft and box type.
No columns other than a 61 to 64 truck will bolt in.
You can modify the existing box and shaft to accept an aftermarket tilt. Machining of the steeriring shaft stub and fabrication of a new lower mount will be needed.
I have a 88 Truck tilt in my 64 modified to fit.
In your stock column you say it is wore out? There is only a single replaceable bearing in there. Describe wore out.

One bearing and retainer fit into the upper flange at the top, one of each fits into upper flange at the bottom.
2) C3DZ3517A .. Bearing
2) B1AZ3518A .. Retainer.
Both these parts are available from Ford and fit Mustangs, Falcons, Fairlanes and other 1960's cars.
1965/72 columns use the same bearings and retainers, but are in different locations.
One each is in the upper flange at the top, one each is at the bottom of the column.
