Judging by the mess of a link below, I think I messed up somewhere. If so, then I'll repost. but anyway, hopefully, here are some pix of the engine about to drop in, and the trans for it. If this is messed up, I'll try to repost the right link.

where did you get the chrome lifter cover? I want one bad, but can't find it anywhere.

I had to have it chromed. Pull one from a junkyard and clean it up real good. The shop charged me $75 for chrome, but I could have had it silver plated, or nickel plated, or even gold like brass plated for less.

I also find it adds about 10 hp to the engine, or at least makes me feel that way when I look at it!

I could have sworn one of the inline 6 sites sold chrome covers and pans for the 240/300. That is a sweet lookin' engine, makes me wish I had one and a truck to put it in!
