installation of factory fender flares
Anyone have any tips on installing the above? this is a '05 scab, it will be no fun drilling holes in the outside of the flat area for those snap in plastic jobs., without some kind of way to make exact measurements before drilling. Any suggestions appreciated....paul

be aware that the bottom of the flares (the part that faces the top of the tire) DOES NOT SIT FLUSH AGAINST THE PAINT.
just a quick FYI before you drill the holes in the wrong spot...otherwise, if it were me, I'd pay a Paint/Body shop to do the install. It's just one of those things.
There are a few little plastic tabs that sit between the flare and the paint. Keeps them seperated about 3/8" from touching.

Also, how are you going to prep/protect the newly exposed metal after drilling it?
That area sees alot of dirt/mud/water...You wouldn't believe the amount of crap I removed from behind my flares when I pulled 'em for painting...it was nasty
