Two nice big trucks on Craigslist

There's a seller just up the highway from me that has two pretty decent big trucks listed on Craigslist. I thought maybe someone here might be interested.

Isn't it stunning the difference between big trucks and F-1's, as far as the amount of rust??

The main reason the bigger trucks seem to be in better condition, at least in this part of the country, is these trucks were mostly farm trucks only used in planting and harvesting seasons, from the spring to fall to get seed from the mills and take crops back to them. During the winter they were stored in the sheds or out behind the barn never to have to contend with the salt of winter roads.

I also think that the bigger trucks, once they developed problems or got too old to use they were just put out to pasture. The smaller trucks were run until their wheels fell off and some one came along got them running again and then beat them again. It's a lot easier, and cheaper, to keep the small trucks running than the big ones and there a lot more people who have more use for them.

Thumbs up

Well, in case anybody wants a big truck on the east coast, specifically Virginia, I got a line on a nice running 1951 F-5 for pretty cheap, with a title. Just let me know if you are interested.

big trucks

Bob

Thanks for posting the photos and info. I love the big trucks. I'm alw
ays pleased when I see someone taking on such a big project. They're out of my budget and space restrictions, but I always enjoying looking at the pics and seeing what's out there.

When I first saw that COE it reminded me that the guy on here with the 52 F-6 MH was looking for a different truck so that he didn't have to cut up the MH. Hope he sees this and is interested.

Speaking of, I was out at Chuck's a couple weeks ago and saw this on his lot. Same exact truck as the member's red one, roof window and all. Stu
