Hy Guys,
thanks a lot for your hallo and the great informations.!! I think this forum will be great.!
Realy helpfull, now i now it bit more about some things.
Stephen: i ride an 71er Mustang Convertible in the Mach1 option. Its an T5. 29 cars build in Dearborn for the export. I have him complet technical restored and have done in the last winter the underfloor. It looks absolutely great. Next winter he gets his original paint in wimbledon white with the Mach1 hockey sticks. After this work he is complet restored.
Untill now i spend like 15000 Euros for parts and stuff in it.
But back to the 56 F100: do you now what for carburator is original on the 272 V8 Engine?
How many horsepower has this engine ( couldnt find any infos!?)
I need an picture from the original rear axle. I have pictures made from some parts but i dont now how to show them in here. Sorry stupid-i now.LOL
Also i need to now where to fix in the correct way both heating hoses by the waterpump. Heater is not in use.!
What will be the best engine oil to use, we in Germany take mostley 15W50.
I the cab are 2 horribble seats installed but i dont want to put an bench in ,so what for good seats from an other car will fit in this cab without any problems? Does anybody now.!
I hope i ask not to much questions, and some of you can answer me .

2 barrel carb. ~ 175 hp, ~260 torque
Specs: 1956 Ford 272 V8 Engine Specs
Most any seats will work, some modern ones will give you some great conviences. I love bucket seats in a car, but when I thought about them for my truck the second I pictured a hot young blonde next to me, I just couldn't do it

Here's a manual for the carb (very similar if not exact):
The Old Car Manual Project: Manuals and tech info online
I am not real familiar with those new engines like the 272, but there is only one heater hose on the water pump; the other is a bypass hose and must be in place (the short horizontal hose). You can plug the other one that goes to the heater. The hot water supply comes from the intake manifold or the trhermostat housing, someone else can tell you for sure.
