2007 Freestyle

Has anyone tried replacing the rear brakes. Is it fairly standard. I think I have to replace the pads and rotors. I wouldnt imagine it being difficult but would like to know more before I jump in.

I just did mine two nights ago. I highly recommend going to AutoZone and renting their Disc Brake Caliper Tool Set. The tool is used to apply force on the caliper piston while you screw the piston back down into the caliper. The passenger side was a little more difficult since it screws down CCW, so you have to continually tighten the tool in the caliper to get enough load on the piston to make it work.

I tried one of the cube wrenchs on a ratchet for an hour or so, but got smart and went to my local AutoZone to rent the tool. It was easy after that.
