Fuel pressure regulator 7.5 EFI/460

What's the fuel pressure on a 7.5 EFI? Mine reads over 100, I hear it's suppose to be around 45. What happens with too much pressure?

Not sure about the negative effects, but I believe you are right concerning the 45psi being the normal.

What happens with too much is, first yoru fuel pump is working way to hard and wears out faster, second your engien usually runs way rich at idle and low speeds, and your fuel mileage sucks as well as most times you end up with 1 or more cylinders missing because you fouled the plugs.

Settings on factory regulator...

40 at WOT and 36 give or take at idle...

100 psi??? goofy guage or a plugged return line.

Yeah this all took place after the stock fuel pump went bad and the only one I could find was one from NAPA.
