Any Demo Derby drivers in here?

Well I just ran in my first demo last Saturday, and man I am still pumped off of that adrenline, I ran a 1983 Olds 98 with a 307, I got 4th, cuz my stupid motor caught on fire and burned up my hot wire.

not really any demo derbys where i live. i mud bog now and again and race go karts in a state series in FL and GA

I never even seen a derby in person. That must be fun though, I would have a blast doing something like that.

I've seen about 4 before doing this one on my own, and man I was flying high off of adrenaline for at least an hour

this will be my 3rd year. we have one every year at the county fair. first car was a k body plymouth, last year was my old geo metro and this year i have s 88 park ave, and maybe my nova. our derby runs 2 nights, everything from small cars, big cars, to small and big trucks to mini and full size vans, and sometimes a few suv also.

My dad did them. It was the late 60's early 70's. That was when they were all in the big circle. They were held in Cloverdale and Vancouver BC. He was partial to 51 and 52 Chevys.

I just began watching them do it at the county fair....the "lot" looks too small for the amount of cars competing. Dad said that "back in the day" they used to have it in the grandstand parking lot within the circle track and there was some major damage going on. Probly too many injuries/deaths, so they confined it to smaller area with the same
# of cars....still a blast to watch

Dont derby , but i dirt track race , sometimes it gets like a derby lol........buddy of mine has a derby car , it looks like a blast.....
