6.0 Intercooler/Trans Cooler Install

Had a very busy weekend. Ended up getting the zoodad mod, and 6.0 IC/TC installed saturday. Did the CCV mod today. Got the boots and ccv mod kit from Clay. Super happy once again. Thanks Clay. Brad (Beadhead) came down to be a great mechanic. Big thanks to him for all the help and for the extra 6.0 IC.

Now a few pics.
Here is the BTS Trans cooler install kit. Very nice. cost $30 + shipping.
Brian ended up overnighting the kit so I would have it for this weekend. He made about $10 on the kit. I have to get a VB now haha.

Here is the 7.3 vs. 6.0 Trans cooler

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35223180@N03/3494821617/" title="IMG_0084 by shady0667, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3414/3494821617_ab2225e93d.jpg" width="270" height="360" alt="IMG_0084" /></a>

As with the results. I am blown away by the 6.0 IC.

Boost builds much faster. Can't get the truck over 1200F now where as I could hit 1250 full throttle at about 85MPH w/ the 7.3 IC.. I dropped from 400F at idle to 300F. 800F at highway speeds to 700F.

Trans cooler dropped my trans temp 40F as well.

Also, I was considering selling my 7.3 IC. What is the going price for these?

Excellent news and congrats on the mods!! You'll have a perfectly clean system now with the CCV, new boots, and new IC. That's awesome that Brad came and helped! Reps to you and Brad when he joins in on the thread!!

Haha.. I mentioned the corn stalks to Dad and he promises to find the guy that did it. He was very impressed with the truck after he drove it. So much that he is stealing it to tow a trailer up to South Dakota this weekend. He's a bum.. leaving me with the stock 03. Also, sorry to hear you don't get to get to Bowling Green this weekend. Want some help with the IC? I think I owe ya!

Cool man. I won't be needing to worry about it, but from the pics of various 6.0 i/c installs, I've never seen a good set start to finish. Especially how the boots look. Figured maybe someone will want to know!

Tried to rep you for the help you gave Andrew but the Police have me in lockup. If things work out, then him and I might get to meet in a month!!
