Our April blizzard was a bust down here in the south-east corner of SD... The weather weenies got everybody all freaked out, then nothing happened!

Won't be long till the grass needs mowed now.

Out in Murdo, we had a dam burst because it collected so much water from all the run off. Were going to have one heck of hay crop this year.

Yes it is. Hope everyone's Easter was a good. Took the new F150 down to Sioux Falls and back yesterday. We visited some friends yesterday down that way. Had an excellent time.

Hey Ryan, got any pictures of the new F150 yet?

We went to Chicago for the weekend... what a madhouse. It was fun, but it sure makes me appreciate small town life!

Can anyone suggest a decent hotel in Rapid? Taking the family out there for a weekend in May, just wondering what would be a good place to stay. The only time I've stayed there was a few years ago driving through with the Uhaul... stayed at a place near the mall.

We just plan to go to Mt Rushmore and do the 1880's train ride on this trip.

I stayed at the Ramkota and it was an alright place to stay and if i remember right they have a nice water park now. If not that, most of those Hotels around the Mall are pretty nice.

I took the Incinerator (AKA rabbit) back home this weekend. I had go to H20town saturday and got over 50 mpg. Then i drove back to Huron and drove around alot. When i got back today, I had over 300 miles on it from just 2 days of driving. Heck I even brought a 400 Honda EX back with me and i didnt even notice it back there.

As far as Rapid there are some new places right off of Exit 61. On the south side of I-90. They are also right off the SE connector loop and that will take you to Highway 16 and up to Hill City to ride the train. And MT Rushmore. I think its close to Cabela's.

I have a couple pics of the pickup on Facebook. Will try to get a couple over to photobucket and I will link it in.

Cool, I'll check on the Ramkota and try and see what's off exit 61... That sounds like a convenient spot, and close to Cabela's sounds good too...

(just don't tell the wife... sorry honey, there was a terrible traffic jam at the "gas station", yeah, that's it... Cabela's sacks in the trunk? That's odd, don't know where those could have come from!?!)
