Here's somevacation photos taken at the lighthouse on Whitefish Point, Michigan. That's Lake Superior in the background.
We toured the shipwreck museum located at the light station. The ship's bell recovered from the Edmund Fitzgerald is on display in memorium. The Fitzgerald dove under 30 foot waves just 15 miles north of Whitefish Point. The ship and crew of 29 now rest under 535 feet of water.

I had the camera, we were both backed up to the pit and I thought it would be a nice time to take some pictures. Sure glad I did.
The year is 1966 (even though it says '67 on the photos) and I'm stationed at Offutt AFB, SAC Hq. south of Omaha, NE. My job is driving a
"dumpster truck" hauling trash to the onbase landfill. The truck I'm driving is 60C451, one of three 1960 model Ford F-600's at Offutt that
picks up these 10 yd containers all over the base, then transports and dumps them at the landfill. Good job, great truck! I enjoyed it.
It was one of my first regular assignments. Check the creases on those fatigues!!!
We had a guy named Roger Bedard from MA that used to put his truck on "two wheels" going around the corners!
I liked 451 too much to treat her like that. I guess I just LOVE workin' those Ford trucks!!!

Hello, everyone! I'm brand new to the forum, and I just thought that this would be a good place to start... and the two A2C's I saw in here inspired me to post some pics. My name's Brandon, by the way.
Me and my girlfriend, Christina, a couple years (and stripes) ago:
Me and the best MSgt in the USAF (my mother, with 24 years in)
And hanging out at the lake this summer.
I'll get some pics of my truck on the site at some point soon ('82 F150). Nice to meet everyone!
Here I am … 40 years ago this month. Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina:
I did 6 years … I made Spec 4 and Sgt (E5) … TWICE!!! … When I got busted …For wearing a wig (for 2 years!) that covered up hair down past my shoulders … there were people betting I’d NEVER get my stripes back.
They were wrong. I got out as SGT E5!
I went back into the service after the towers came down on 9/11. I was 50 years old. The only military unit that would take me was a Naval GUARD Unit. (I never heard of such a thing either) … Because of my civilian skill set … I went in as a Chief Boatswain mate (E-7).
They told me I’d NEVER go on active duty. They lied.
Two months after my enlistment I was supervising the rebuilding and refit of brown water patrol boats at the Philly Navy Yard.
Here’s me getting qual’ed up as a master diver at Philly:
My name is Ted.
I post other places as CPO Ted
Oddshot
BTW … “Oddshot” is from an old Tom Paxton hippy anti-war song, “Talking VietnamPot-Luck Blues”.
I tend to post for awhile and then disappear for months...just found this thread. Name is Dave, ASE master tech by day...beer guzzling redneck on the weekends. I hate cameras so I have very few pictures of myself. This was last winter, plowing snow with the '86 F-250.
Squeezing off a shot with my .44 magnum.

hey ladies and gents. I used to poke my head around a bit here but got busy over the summer and never managed to work on my truck/check out FTE.
I'm Bryan and this is me cleaning up the shipping residue off the heads for my future power plant. I hope to be getting back on track with my '85 project in the next few weeks.

My name is Sam. This pic's a couple months old, I've since cut my hair and got different glasses. Someday when I can get my camera charged up I'll get a current pic of me with my truck.
EDIT: And yes I was going for a goofy expression. :P
