Hey guys, Another month has arrived. We've got some good weather to be working on our Trucks and what ever else you choose to work on. Tomorrow, May 2nd, is Byram day, it will have a car/truck show all day and lawn mower races at 3 p.m. also a bunch of carnival type stuff for the kiddos. I'll be down there tomorrow checkin everything out.
Yall have a good evening.
Looks as if it's gunna rain all day and night, good thing it didn't rain yesterday, it would've washed out the Byram day shindig. Here are some pics of the car truck show.
Here are some pics of the lawn-mower race, this is the mower I painted as a sponsor. He runs in the outlaw class, there was no other entries in his class. He raced the winner of the super modified class. He won! of course we all know that the paint job made him win LOL!
Barry, thanks for the pics, most of those vehicles were at that show that was by your place when I came up for the GTG, but that Yellow Hot Rod I haven't seen before either. What you think about No More Pontiacs Hey man those lawn Mowers look pretty cool!!
Yeah, haha, every show around here has the same vehicles, there were a few here that I haven't seen before. If dropping the pontiac line will help GM... I think it's a good idea, although, I hate that those pontiac employees will lose their jobs. I just don't know what will happen with GM. I like the email that's floating around that's saying give 40 million Americans that are retirement age or near 1 million dollars each with the condition that they buy a American made car, pay off their mortage or buy a new house and a few other things that I can't remember. All of that should revitalize the economy...or they could send us all another stimulus check. I'm all for that.
Great work Barry. (Pics & paint) I would have made it save that I spent all day in the attic installing a custom aluminum peak vent I had made. Hopefully It'll drop temps a couple of degrees & lower our elec bill just a bit.

Greywolf, You are welcome down here anytime, wish you could've made it to the G2G we had a while back. Lousiana has a G2G coming up in Kentwood on May 6th, you would be welcome there. That is an invitation.
If them mowers could cut going that fast I wouldn't want to be around them. I could imagine a blade coming off going at the speeds they were goin! our guy was running a 5 hp b&s engine pushing an actual 10.5 hp with methanol. Now they're planning another mower that's supposed to push 20 hp...gonna be interesting...so if you feel "froggy" bring it on down!!
Looka here - "B" frog don't go over twenty, but it don't go backards on a hill, that's a fact. You can have all the flat land tractors you can fill a shed with, but bullfrog will jump them in the hard going....
You boys set up a Missippi HILL CLIMB for mowers and I'll BRING IT!
Oh thats right - you ain't got no hills in Mississippi.....

get a craftsman - but don't ever let the deck rust out
(ASK ME HOW I KNOW)
Bullfrog is a fifteen horse six speed, with NON-STOCK tires. Go for deep lugs!
That six speed rear end is the key, any engine will do.
Keep the dang thing clean and it won't rust....
MOWER TIP 101: Most likely point to be ruined
under the mower, on top of the deck. if grass stays there and is wet it becomes acid (just like leaves)
This eats the paint, the paint goes and exposes metal. The metal around there supports the blade spindles.
Those spindles are $55 apiece and are made of alloy. They break... Especially when corroded
SYNOPSIS:
If water is allowed to linger on the deck down there it ruins the blade spindles and the deck around it
ANSWER:
(MYAGI's Solution: "NO BE THERE!")
Always clean the deck top after mowing, and keep the tractor sheltered if you care about it. Never let water collect on the deck, especially with a spongey mass of grass and stuff that will stay saturated. BLAST that stuff off with a spray nozzle. Would you rather spend ten cents worth of water, or buy a new deck?
Blast the deck clean with a garden hose.
What good is a mower with no deck?
Think about it -how many mowers have you seen with no decks for sale? And what good are they without one?
Better still - show me where you are going to get a new deck from and what THAT costs....
