Another desert find

How about a thread for found abondoned or for sale trucks in the country side or just some interesting pix? This '56 has been sitting in my neighbors yard for a lot of years on a trailer and sadly he passed away last year and the widow doesn't answer mail or phone calls.

I'd buy it. It's a 56 F-900. Will she talk to you in person? If so, ask if she'd part with it to a collector/restorer.

Thought that would interest you, she's still in the angry stage so hopefully soon she'll talk to me. It's been sitting on the trailer for 7 years that I know of and it ran when he bought it from the National Guard with 34,000 miles. I'll take more pix of it you want but I didn't want to induce drooling.

I would like all the pictures you can get. The more the better. I may have to come down your way in the not so distant future.

I seen one like that down in Lapine one time, years ago. Looks like it would be great up on the ski areas.

Somewhere in my "mess" I've got a picture of an old Indian Motorcycle that had wooden runners alongside the back wheel, with chain wrapped around the rear wheel. It was used for the rural mail carrier in Walla Walla Wash for 10 years...........

Send her some flowers or a box of candy with a card that has your phone number on it.

A long time pal of mine got a 1914 Stutz Bearcat (!) from a widow in 1979, by sending her flowers every month for two years.

One day she called him, told him to come get the car...and she GAVE it to him...for free!
