Replaced hubs, now ABS light
Spent the day replacing the front hubs on my '02 Explorer and as soon as I started it up for a test drive the ABS light was on. Checked the connectors but they were okay. Shut it down and plugged in the old hubs and restarted it but the ABS light is still on. Anyone have any ideas? Does something need to be reset or re-calibrated?

if the light comes on as soon as you start the truck, the problem is the wire connection. must have mashed one pin inside the plug socket. truck is checking for continuity. if the light comes on after you start moving, then it is the new probe. pull the plug apart and look into the socket at the pin.

I looked at the pins inside the connector that comes from the hub harnass because I thought maybe I'd bent a pin. When I saw that the pins are there and straight, that suggested the possibility that one of the new hubs ABS sensors was defective, especially since this hub assembly was not a Ford factory part. I plugged-in the old hubs to test this theory but the ABS light presisted. That suggests the possibiblty that I may have somehow damaged one or both of the connectors mounted to the top inside of the fender well. I'll have to inspect the connectors tomorrow since the truck is back on the road. Do you know if I can test for continuity with a digital multimeter? If so, what might the reading be?
