stock 4.6 HP capacity

so i have tried find searching for this info but i have had no luck. i know stock RWHP is near 200 but what is the highest hp these blocks can handle if I were to put boost or spray on it. I know the stock mustang 05-current 4.6 is 450RWHP. I know it is a dif between a 2v vs 3v but there still is a tolerance this engine can do.

what ya think?

I have a buddy here that's running a 50 shot-dry (w/a 100 shot option). He's well aware that his internals/tranny and rear is getting well abused. He's had it on the dyno with a final tally of 425hp (he didn't push it all the way).

I'll have to consult with him to see exactly what kind of damage he is seeing. I do know he gets a real bad clicking noise after running it on the strip for an hour or so. There is also a real bad hissing noise to-follow in what seems to be the lower-end area.

He already has a new (4.6) block / tranny and rear getting getting built up to take the abuse. Plus a stand alone engine & Fuel management system and ditching the factory stuff.

You may want to also ask this question down in the Modular engine forum or even the Supercharger/Turbo charged/ Nitrous Forum towards the bottom.

your 4.6 is the same motor essentially from a 2000-2004 Mustang. Different cams, butt that is the major difference.

Those Mustang motors (4.6 2v) are pretty tough. They can take a good amount of nitrous and be happy, but as with everything, the more you use, the more you break.
