fatman frontend

i was wondering if i could keep my 390 engine in my 58 ford if i went to the fat-man front end . didnt know if i would have oil pan clearance probelms can anyone tell me

I'm not sure about the clearances. But I would think worst case youwould have to install a mid sump oil pan out of something 4WD (Bronco?) and a mid sump pump pick-up to make it fit. I don't remember the cross members in the 58 (probably because I've never seen one). But I have a 51 with a 390 and that is waht needed to be done to use the MII IFS had I gone with that.

At least we can bump this back up for another look see by the peanut gallery!
