Haven't got mine in right at the moment but I have a Uniden Pres. Grant will be going above the mirror in a console (not built yet). As for antenna I am putting one on each side of a headach rack, will use on for CB and the other for the AM/FM radio. Will close up the original antenna hole in the cowl.

Fun thread.
I use a Cobra 29 LTD BT (Bluetooth) 40 channel with noise cancelling mic.
I have a veriety of anntennas, and realli like a single fire stick, mounted to the top of the cab, and an 18' cable. Yes the cable length makes a bit of a difference.
You can see it is mounted under the dash here:

I have a temp CB in my truck right now it is an old radioshack CB a friend of mine gave me... as far as how I have it mounted it is mounted on the tunnel right next to the shifter pointing strait up so I can see it when I drive... As far as antenas go I have two 12' whips on the front of the bed on either side of the cab... Out here in the san juan islands I pick up radio traffic on I-5... I can't wait until I get my other truck back from my brother and do the CB swap...

Quote from some random CB magazine article:
The patent pending 29 LTD BT is the first-ever CB radio is aimed at making communication easier and safer on the road by bringing your cell phone calls wirelessly into the CB unit.
This isn’t your normal Blast Magazine uber gadget, iPod, MP3 whatchamacallit, but the nerd in me squeals at the sight of this baby.
“With Bluetooth technology, the 29 LTD BT allows drivers a better way to have phone conversations on the road because calls from a mobile phone are synched with the CB radio. A noise canceling microphone allows calls to be heard loud and clear, even over a noisy engine,” Cobra said in a statement earlier this week. “Incoming audio is routed through the radio’s 5-Watt CB speaker making it easy for the driver to hear the caller. The Bluetooth feature also gives drivers the ability to answer and terminate calls by pushing one button on the CB microphone, allowing drivers to stay focused on the road.”
The new 29 LTD BT also has the standard CB complement including access to emergency channel 9, and tactile controls to allow the driver to feel where the dial is in its rotation without taking his eyes off the road.
The new unit also offers 4 Watts AM RF power output, the maximum amount of power allowed by law. (Insert Tim Allen grunt here)
The 29 LTD BT will be available this summer for $189.95.
In California I cant use my cell phone without using a wireless device, and when I am in the truck even the best noise canceling devices are terrible. I have tried them all. From low dollar units to high end ear pieces, and noe have worked well. Seems that my tire noise and stereo mix up the ear piece.
Along comes Cobra and this radio. I seldom use the CB for any communication other than when we are on the trial, but now I use it all of the time.
With the loud speaker, I can hear my telephone just fine, and then talk over the CB for phone conversations. Even over the roar of 40 inch boggers on the highway, and windows down, I can still hear my phone conversations and the folks that I talk to dont even know that I am using a wireless device.
For less than 200 bucks, I eliminated the need for an earpiece, and this thing works great. Plus its a nice CB too, lol.

All my dentsides I hung the CB from the roof.Another thing dont bother with the dual whips.they have to be 96 inches or more apart to work right they are designed for big rigs and need to be that far apart so they radiate down the sides of a trailer and have a radiation pattern that goes front and back for talking up and down the highway.A single baseload antenna in the middle of the roof will give the best 360% performance.

I hung my Cobra from my roof, made a bracket that sandwiched around the single roof crossmember, and then only the mounting tabs stick through the custom headliner. Gave me the clean look I was after. Had to cut down my sunvisors though- then had them upolstered to match the headliner. Then ran the cable and wires down through the "A" pillers, wires on the left, cable on the right to keep them apart. Fiber glass wipper on the pass mirror. Pic in my Gallery- "the truck" albulm.
