so I called today to see when I could pick her up this afternoon...about 1:00 PM
Got a Asst. Manager who had no clue and I was told the ominous words "We don't know where your vehicle is".
2 Hours later, I get a voice-mail saying They'll call shortly with an update to the issue with my Expy. But it should be ready for pickup on Wednesday afternoon now.
Still haven't heard anything, and mysteriously everybody is unavailable to talk with me. It's peoples day off, or they left work early...very strange.
Anybody care to hazard a guess at the latest excuse/mistake? I'm just hopinng they didn't wreck it
My guess is that they are trying desperately to find one that looks like yours so they can switch the VIN tags over and hope you don't notice....
They don't have the heart to tell you that the secretary took your truck to lunch and only brought back the steering wheel.. the rest came in on a flatbed....

It's sat on the lot, no one has touched it, they were all out surfing instead. The night before you pick it up they will slap some Mequiars cleaner wax on and call it a day.
you have to be over 30 days. Time to go the BBB route.

I've nothing I can do. I'm up a Creek with a straw for a paddle
The only way I can do a Lemon Law is via 1 panel. The rear hatch had some factory paint defects left after the 1st fiasco. If they haven't fixed that, I have a partial leg to stand on for a Lemon Law.
Otherwise, my Lawyer says I'm pretty much SOL...even then, the Lemon Law can get twisted since I have a visual defect, not a Safety/Mechanical defect.
So I can pursue the Lemon Law route, but there is no guarantee I won't be doing anything but wasting my $50 application fee.
I guess it's a good thing I don't drink. I've been known to do some stupid stuff when lit up
they screwed up my drivers door, but thought nobody would notice apparently.
it went back to the paint/body shop. no idea on delivery date. been told anywhere from Today to next week since it's the 4th July weekend
I'm seriously about to Flip the **** out at this point
Even reading your accounts makes my blood boil. I would do everything I could to get out from under your patchwork-painted truck at this point. Lemon law, sue the dealer, whatever.... This is nonsense.

Good luck, and kudos for your patience.
George
yep, I have no idea how you do it. I agee, i would sue the dealer for the price of a GOOD shop to take the whole truck to bear metal and totally respray it, and then a few extra thousand for them ****ing you so bad.

I'm not cheap.....I'm just broke.
they delivered it to the lot this morning and my Service Tech called 'em out on the repair. He then called me.
Man, what an ordeal.
The service tech's story is likely total BS. Your Expy probably wasn't ready and they told you they "sent it back" to make you feel like they are working on it and really care about you- when the truth is that it's still sitting in the lot behind the body shop waiting for their next painter's apprentice to be hired from the Taco Bell down the street.
I've been in a somewhat similar position as you- except it was a mechanical defect and I wasn't quite as patient. In my case, to get anything done I had to show up (not just call them on the phone) every day and make them look me in the eye and tell me why my truck wasn't fixed. I'd recommend that you stop calling & waiting and start going there and seeing for yourself what is being done... or not done as the case may be.
