I agree with most except the painting. In the old days the factory paint was top notch. Today, it's just average at best. A body shop that knows what they are doing can paint a car better than a factory job.

Berry i dont agree with you and if you saw my last 2 paintjobs they did on my expedition at 2 seperate body shops (ford dealers of course) you might not say that. The BBB arbitrator didnt agree either.. I believe it could be done but not from a ford dealer who does hoods and patch work..When is the last time you saw a ford dealer comercial telling you to come in for an all over paintjob because their prices cant be beat? You dont and you wont because as I was told by both body mngrs, "we arent set up to do all over paint jobs thats not what we are here for",and I quote.....chuck

I said a body shop that knows what they are doing. I don't disagree that your repair job was sub-par, I am saying there are shops that can do better work that the factory.

Wow, it sucks that perhaps my case isn't an isolated incident. I am a huge Ford fan, but it's a real shame that B.S like this occurs

Ford Corp got the Attorney Certified Letter yesterday and apparently decided to get interested in my case again. Nothing has changed of course, but now I'm also fielding calls from a nice lady representing Ford in addition to the others

Supposedly I'll get a call today/tomorrow for me to schedule the latest repair attempt.

Very true

Funny how this is gonna cost me another car though

Deal I had with wife was that I got to buy a new/lightly used Harley F250 in late fall of 2010...especially as I gave up my RoushCharged F150 for the Expy. Pic of it in my gallery

Now I will end up with the Expy and I've got to buy her a 2010/2011 Flex.

At least the Expy is fun to drive...especially once I fix a few things that Ford forgot about in the drivetrain arena

I think...build sheets say the EL gets 3.73 automatically...but I cannot verify it anywhere.

Expy is a very mysterious vehicle compared to the F series and the plethora of info for them

Make sure you get one with an ecoboost! The ecoboosted flex is running 14.5 in the qtr at 96 mph.

Here is a link to it: Racing a Lincoln MKS EcoBoost at Milan Dragway [w/VIDEO]
