Round 3 today

Dropped it off with a promise date of Wednesday

btw, the rental this time is a POS Jeep Commander. If that is what Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler is putting out nowadays...no wonder they went under. Just a thinly vieled Mitsubishi POS

Not to go off-topic here, but the Commander is a rebodied Grand Cherokee, and the current (2005+) GC has nothing Mitsubishi in it. There is a good deal of the chassis that has Mercedes engineering input, actually. They are even using Mercedes auto tranmissions and stuff in those. Last Mitsubishi-based 4WD that Chrysler did was the Dodge Raider, the shortie version of the then-Montero. (Which looks like the Commander and this may be what you're thinking.)

I'm not a fan of the Commander, but do find the GC's appealing--although I don't think I'd want to deal with the reliability issues.

I don't want to talk about your Expy any more--just want to you have it done (well) and back in your hands

Good luck,
George

I finally got her back today...and the wife promptly had us doing crap all afternoon

I would say the Expy is about 95% repaired. I would like more done...but I think I've squeezed the most out of the I'll ever get.

Picked it up, shiny, clean...finally happy for the most part....and then it rained going home.

Darn clouds opened up and dumped all over it
I'm going to clean her up in the morning and try to get some Purty shots

So I finally got a Happy Ending. Took ~3 months, 41 days in the shop, 1 website, BBB, Ford, Lawyers....wow.
now I'm waiting for the Complaint Department to call on Friday...supposedly I'll be getting a 5yr/75k PremiumCare ESP

Glad to see that you have it in the drive again. Good luck with the Ex. Negotiate for the 6/100k plan.

Okay, so they gave me a Premiumcare ESP today. I spaced out and didn't get the term/mileage period. So have to wait a few days and see...no biggie though

Must say I am pretty happy with Ford overall. They might have given the Dealership more pressure, but a $500-700 ESP for free is pretty awesome...especially as it wasn't required by them

hope the helps anybody else out there with similar issues. Just be persistent and DOCUMENT everything
