Need Help with Edge Vista Roof

Hi, Sorry this is so long! I have a 2007 Edge SEL. The Vista roof has started to stop before it closes completely. Today, not only did it stop, but the motor "noise/sound" also stopped. The roof will ALWAYS close to the first stop (1/2 way) when I push the button once. The problem comes in when I have to close it the rest of the way. My dearly beloved is a Ford tech, but he thinks this is all in my imagination because everytime I try to show him how it "won't close" - the darn thing closes!! I'd say 75% of the time, the sun roof fails to close. Has anyone else seen or heard of this problem? My DH says he hasn't seen any bulletins or recalls. I was hoping someone on these forums might be able to point me toward a diag. Thanks in advance, Mrs. Mav (Tom - if you're out there Radioman says HI!)

Good heavens, you're married to a Ford tech and have to go to an internet Forum for help? This is just wayyy funny. Hope you get it fixed.
