Smokin the tranny in my Dodge 3500 . I hate these things. A518 auto trans in the dually 4x4 V-8 thing is a piece of crap . Anyone have one layin around? I'm pissed .

Oh well......gonna run ittil it don't run no more. I got a quote for the parts to fix it, and make it equivelant to the A618 in the diesels. Just gotta ask the boss to float me $600, and then I have to rebuild it myself.

Got the parts today. Tore down a core we had from another job. Aint gonna do me no good. The core has a bad intermediate shaft, low/reverse hub, OD piston retainer, and low/reverse roller clutch. Thing got so hot, that I had to pound the intermediate shaft out of the reverse hub, and OD piston retainer. Then, I saw part of the plastic washer for the reverse hub c-clip melted around the clip, and the roller clutch was completely disintigrated. Well, gonna have to pop the tranny out of my truck, and see if the parts are any good. That's gonna suck, because I aint got another rig to drive. Going to have to see if the boss will loan me a car for a few days.....DANG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
