Hey guys i was wondering if anyone has installed the PIE frd04-aux on there truck? If so where have you spliced the 12v constant source for the adapter and the ground as well? I am new to fords wiring systems so i am not sure were to start. Whats the best way to get the face plate off of the dash on a Lariat with a center console. any help would be great.

 

can't answer the PIE question

but

open your ashtray. grab the lower edge of that trim piece. and gently but firmly pull. the trim is held in place by those compression snaps. no bolts or screws.


you can start from the top...but it's alot easier to go from the bottom

 

I installed a Pie in my 05 screw and It works great. I tied it into the cig. lighter wiring behind the facplace since I never use the lighter.

 

I tapped mine into the 12v accesory power point. Then took a drill bit and drilled a small hole into my dash for my 3.5mm adapter to fit perfectly in to the dash. Then I just have a small cable running from that point to my ipod. Works great
