Hey guys, new to the forums! Looks like a great site!
I wanted to ask you all if the fuel shut off would be eliminated if I installed an aftermarket computer chip in my '95 Lightning. If not, then what would I have to get to eliminate the 110 MPH cut off?
Thanks in advance for the help guys! You all seem real informative!
It depends on two things: the brand and your truck's ECU code. If you can supply the ECU code I can tell you if the Superchip and DiabloSport removes it but I can't speak for other brands.
1. Sticker on the wiring harness, low down on the driver's side under the hood, sometimes up high on the firewall.
2. Or on the drivers side, under dash area, behind the kick panel . Look for a small silver box about 1 1/2 inches thick, 8 inches wide and about 10 inches long. The code will be on it or on the wiring harness going into it.
